Position Title: Security Engineer - Venafi
Duration: 12+ month contract (High possibility for extension)
Location: 100% Remote
Position Description
A Security Engineer serves as the security expert for complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment.
The Security Engineer ensures developers build secure systems while enhancing user privacy and brings experience in white-hat hacking and fundamental computer science concepts.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews.
  • Developing and implementing technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
  • Conducting research to identify new attack vectors.
Skills Required
  • Knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks.
Experience Required
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience developing and implementing technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Skills Preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience managing and supporting:
  • Venafi machine identity management solution for 2,000+ users.
  • Sectigo SSL/TLS Digital Certificate Authority (CA) for 2,000+ users.
  • Experience in certificate automation across various platforms, such as:
  • Windows.
  • Apache.
  • Web Application Firewall.
  • Load balancer.
  • Azure Cloud.
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions, such as Elastic and Cribl streaming service.
  • Familiarity with incident and change management processes.
Experience Preferred
  • One (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years in the following:
    • Managing, implementing, and supporting Venafi Machine Identity Management platform for 1,000+ users.
    • Certificate automation using Venafi on platforms such as Windows, Azure Cloud, Web Application Firewall, load balancer, and Apache.
    • Managing and supporting Sectigo SSL/TLS Digital Certificate Authority (CA) for 1,000+ users.
Education Required
  • A bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
