POSITION OPPORTUNITY
The Process Planner works under the direction of the Senior Manager of Engineering as part of the process engineering team. The primary responsibility of this role is to create process plans that ensure the most efficient outcomes for highly complex and unique aerospace and semiconductor jobs, in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the process engineering and operations teams by assisting with and updating Astro Pak process plans, job requirements, and test techniques in accordance with customer purchase orders to create work instructions and/or shop travelers.
  • Resolve discrepancies between customer purchase orders, specifications and/or AS9100 requirements.
  • Create and update process plan templates as needed to reflect changes in process or customer requirements.
  • Input accurate data into company systems and use custom software to generate shop travelers, labels and customer certifications.
  • Calculate and verify cleanliness verification sampling volumes and develop plans that meet customer and regulatory standards.
  • Implement and refine processes and procedures to meet quality assurance objectives while aligning with corporate policies and long-term goals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment by actively participating in team meetings, providing feedback, and welcoming input from colleagues.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and completes work in timely manner
  • Support continuous improvement projects
  • Complete duties as assigned by management
  • Analyze and implement projects in compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.

Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications: High School Diploma or GED.   

Related Experience: Minimum of 0-1 years of prior customer service, account coordinator, manufacturing, sales, or cleanroom experience preferred. Preferred experience working in the chemical cleaning industry or other related field (industrial cleaning, waste management, mechanical contracting/engineering).

Overtime: Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice call in as required. 10-20% overtime to be expected.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions from Production Management System (ICMS), documents, correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for surface are and volume using a calculator and supplied formula
  • Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
  • Legal capacity to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws.

Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Will be exposed to dust, fume, smoke, toxic chemicals and disagreeable odors

  • The pay for this position has a salary of $20.69. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
