Case Services Aide - Temporary JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides support to the team case managers and coverage of intake line. Essential Duties ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Communicates effectively with multiple teams, community agencies, clients, and families. Provides case aide services to elderly and disabled adults who are at risk of abuse, neglect or exploitation. Provides administrative support for the Social Case Workers in work group. May offer and refer services for elderly and disabled adults at least 18 years of age who are at risk from current or possible abuse, sexual abuse, exploitation, and/or neglect by self or others. Provides education to the community to increase awareness regarding abuse of the elderly and disabled in Mesa County. Provides administrative duties and support to Case Workers. Investigates alternative funding/grants from other agencies that apply to the elderly and disabled population when all other resources have been exhausted. Takes calls regarding mistreatment of at-risk adults and enters the reports into the appropriate database. Searches various databases to gather additional client information to enhance the screening process. Coordinator for special projects as needed. Oral and written communication must be clear and effective. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent and six months of full time public contact in human services or a related field. Substitution for public contact is successful completion of a certificate program relevant to human services, and/or at least six semester or nine quarter hours in a human behavioral sciences or health care field. Experience working with adults is preferred.
