ResponsibilitiesSECTOR OVERVIEW
Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil - gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking part-time, temporary, Environmental Monitors to conduct pre-construction surveys, monitoring, prepare monitoring reports, and work with construction crews to maintain compliance with permits and regulations. The positions can be based out of our New Jersey offices with our Planning, Permitting and Licensing group. This is a part-time/as-needed position with the opportunity for full-time employment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS
- Conduct pre-construction surveys, monitoring, and preparing monitoring reports.
- Work with construction crews to maintain compliance with permits and regulations.
- Assure that erosion and sedimentation control measures are installed and maintained.
- Abide by Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology or Related Field.
- Must have 5-10 years' experience in construction monitoring, compliance and environmental permitting.
- Excellent verbal communications and technical communication skills are mandatory, along with the ability to maintain a positive attitude working under aggressive schedules.
- Willingness to work 5-6 days per week and 10 to 12-hour days outside in the elements on a regular basis
- Must have reliable transportation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with utility or energy construction projects.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply environmental compliance and permitting regulations of applicable regulatory agencies.
- Development and implementation of mitigation measures.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
