Description

TEKsystems is seeking a highly motivated, business-focused Sr. Project Manager. This PM will support the deployment of enterprise-wide solutions for one of our largest clients. This position will lead multi-million dollar internal technology projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Using their corporate project management processes and methods, the Project Manager will lead cross-functional, multi-business teams, collaborating at all levels of the Enterprise to ensure project success and satisfy stakeholders. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for planning and executing the project and enabling the internal customer organization to achieve their objectives and realize business value.

What You Will Do:

• Lead project initiation, definition, planning, coordination, and delivery of key commitments

• Communicate and manage project vision with project leadership team to ensure an understanding of the project plan and scope, in conjunction with the company’s commitments and customer expectations.

• Coordinate with leaders and executives to define business objectives, determine scope and funding needs, and establish business cases supporting project investments

• Define deliverables, scope of work, and develop detailed project schedules to ensure value is provided to the customer/requestor and business objectives and goals are met.

• Build highly effective project teams and establish effective relationships with stakeholders

• Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members.

• Resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goals.

• Apply project management principles including project financial management, scope and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, critical problem solving, variance and root cause analysis techniques to ensure on time delivery of product capabilities that meet customer requirements.

• Make timely and sound business decisions that support the business objectives

• Summarize and present key information and data driven metrics to leadership enabling them to make decisions.

• Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives.

• Participate in continuous process improvement and lean initiatives.

• Program Management skills to provide direction and leadership to team members who do not report to you directly (managing without authority).

• Ability to take on roles in an Agile framework, such as Scrum Master or Product Manager, or Product Owner

• Manage budgets and schedules

• Follow established processes and procedures and influence policy, practice and procedure

• Manage and assess project risk

• Maintain project repositories

• Manage project resources

• Identify and engage appropriate technical and business resources needed for successful project execution; Coaches/mentors team members and lower-level professionals to ensure quality work products

• Manage project resources

• Lead regular project reviews with customers and stakeholders, including business leaders

• Coordinate and maintain program communications

• Document and review lessons learned

• Identify and establish effective internal and external relationships to accomplish project objectives

• Define and manage readiness elements that support achieving business and financial objectives

• Ensure project results are of the highest caliber, meeting technical and behavioral objectives, business case targets, and planned value

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Minimum 7+ year’s applicable experience and a university degree or equivalent combination of work experience in IT Project management and certifications

• Proven Success working on Enterprise level IT projects or initiatives

• Experience with Waterfall and LEAN project execution methodologies

• Experience supporting phased gating execution

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Proven Solution Delivery in Waterfall and Agile Frameworks

• Experience developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives

• Experience leading across multiple organizations and levels, as well as across multiple geographic regions

• Demonstrated skill in leading and participating in virtual meetings

• Ability to manage project management tools like MS Project or Jira

• Ability to interface directly with leadership to positively influence and drive alignment

• Ability to execute operationally with the tenacity to push through obstacles and realize the desired impact in a timely manner

• Ability to travel for workshops and structured walkthroughs as needed

Preferred Qualification:

• SAFe or similar certifications

• Project Management certification

• Project Portfolio Management (PPM)

• Lean certifications

• Experience working IT Infrastructure and/or Cybersecurity Projects

• Experience presenting to Executive level audience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00
