Summary: Responsible for delivering accelerated sales growth in network and cybersecurity related hardware, software, and services in Werner Electric Supply's Southeast Industrial Region.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage designated book of business to achieve profitability goals relative to annual operating plan (AOP).
- Conduct sales visits with existing and prospective customers.
- Prospect new opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation techniques.
- Understand customer needs and communicate value propositions.
- Leverage disciplined sales process and customer relationship manager (CRM) to document sales pipeline and develop / manage sales forecast.
- Manage the sales cycle, performing lead qualification, arranging and providing demonstrations, quoting, and closing.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer Service Representatives and Product Management, to communicate and implement commercial strategies.
- Conduct research on competitors' products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networks, Security, or related field AND a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- 7-10 years of related experience required in lieu of degree.
- Knowledge of network and cybersecurity services such as network assessments and design, cybersecurity risk assessment, penetration testing, secure remote access, and threat detection.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel regularly through assigned territory. Some overnight travel is required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Cisco, Stratus, Panduit, and HMS products.
- Background in manufacturing.
- Business development or sales experience.
- Previous experience in distribution, value added reseller, or managed service provider preferred.
