Kennedy Space Center, United States Jacobs Full time

We are launching people to the Moon and Mars. If you want to be part of this amazing mission and enjoy working in a great team environment, we would love to have you as part of our team that is making history, today. It takes big ideas and determination to take NASA's vision and make it reality. That's what we do every day.

The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

While doing your part to help further space exploration at Kennedy Space Center, you can enjoy many on-site amenities, such as:

·       Child Development Center

·       Discounted tickets to local attractions and theme parks

·       Credit Union

·       Fitness Center

·       Barbershop

·       NASA Exchanges

 Flexible Schedule and Telework

We value your time and commitment. Here at Kennedy Space Center, we offer partial telework options and flexible work schedules for many of our positions. The ability to utilize a flex schedule or telework will depend on your department’s demands and needs.

We are looking for a technician to Support the LETF (Launch Equipment Test Facility).

Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is home to the Launch Equipment Test Facility (LETF), a versatile test and development area that supports the entire spectrum of operational programs.  The LETF was originally established in the 1970s to accommodate full-scale qualification of Space Shuttle umbilicals and T-0 release mechanisms.  It has been upgraded and refurbished to support NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) program, and is used to test a wide variety of large-scale hardware and ground support equipment components.  Equipment at the facility can recreate lift-off and operational conditions to test component performance, and can supply cryogenics, hydraulics, electrical, ECS and other commodities to enable “Test-as-you-fly”. -NASA

Responsibilities May Include:

·       Provide technical support for engineers working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement.

·       Assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment.

·       Perform simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures.

·       Check work in progress or on completion.

·       Perform day-to-day operations of Ground Systems Technical Operations.

·       Perform other duties as assigned.
