Description:

This position will design, implement and maintain the implementation of SolidWorks Electrical Schematic including development, implementation and use of libraries, templates and macros.

In addition, this position will serve as the company expert and mentor in SolidWorks Electrical.

Our ideal candidate has a strong experience in the use of SolidWorks tools, especially SolidWorks Electrical Schematic, PDM and File Management.

• Creation and implementation of standard libraries, templates and macros in SolidWorks.

• Development of processes and tools to optimize efficiency in the design of motor control and test systems utilizing Unico technology.

• Serve as department expert and mentor on SolidWorks Electrical tools.

• Train department on established protocols for use in product design.

• Review and approve work as it relates to symbols, libraries and templates.

• Design motor control and test system solutions including creation of Power Distribution Diagrams, Network Distribution Diagrams and Electrical schematics.

• Offer improvements to existing tools and processes.

• Drive consistent use of libraries, templates and macros across department.

• Utilize KPIs to show demonstrated improvement in quality and cycle time resulting because of work with processes, tools and libraries.

• Foster open communication internally on the use of SolidWorks tools to promote continuous improvement in the use of said tools.

• Monitor advances in design tools globally.

• Work with production area to ensure process and tools support high quality, efficient assembly.

• Incorporate customer and end user feedback to further improve our products

• Serve as technical lead on assigned projects, working with other functional groups and customers to meet deliverables, and to address and resolve technology or product issues to honor commitments

• Demonstrates an intense focus on customer satisfaction.

• Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Strong in SolidWorks Electrical tools and its application to system design

• Experience with design of motor control and test systems.

• 5+ years of related experience

• Demonstrated track record of creating/applying standard processes

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong process orientation/discipline and demonstrated application of problem-solving tools (e.g. Paretto, 5-Why Analysis, 8-D’s, etc.)

• Experience operating in a power-electronics and industrial packaging manufacturing environment.

• Strong technical skills related to electrical engineering and power electronics.

• Mentoring or training skills
