Position: Information Technology Support Engineer (Freelancer IT Support Engineer - L1/L2)
Location: South Sioux City, Nebraska, United States
Position type: Part-Time Contract Role
Note:- It's an onsite Support role. Traveling will be there. Travel costs will be provided.
Freelance Work: You will work on your own like a self-employed and you will get paid only for the hours OR days you work on the customer's site.
Freelance work Process (step by step):
- Whenever our customer needs any help related to Desktop / Network Support L1 and L2 in your area, our team (Help Desk Team) will contact you over email OR by phone call / WhatsApp.
- Then our representative (Help Desk Agent) will brief you about the problem at the customer site.
- You can accept OR decline the ticket as per your availability. If you decline the ticket, then we will get back to you with another ticket in the future.
- If you accept it, then you need to visit our customer site with a few tools like a laptop with Windows 10, a few cables, one USB drive, and a strong internet connection, etc.
- Tool requirement depends on the problem/ticket.
Responsibilities:
- Perform IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes) services on hardware on desktops, laptops,
- Perform desktop and laptop software installation/upgrades including staging & imaging
- Provide break-fix services
- Perform 1st or 2nd deskside support services troubleshooting & and remediating hardware, software, and network-related issues for end-users
- Provide 1st or 2nd-level help desk support to end-users
- Perform LAN and internet working-related activities
- Handle bench repairs & remedial maintenance
- Deal with 3rd party IT vendors as required
- Manage IT asset inventory as required
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
- 1-4 years of hardware, software (Windows 7/10), and end-user support experience
- Demonstrate junior-to-intermediate internetworking and troubleshooting skills
- Possess a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program
- A+ certification and other IT industry certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or other OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP, etc.) preferred
- Must be a self-starter who can manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
- Available to work flexible work schedules
