Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 software/hardware support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve daily IT issues.
  • Perform software updates and maintain help desk tickets.
  • Travel to other company and client sites as needed to perform IT work.
  • Create and update technical documentation.
  • Interact with users and provide effective support.
  • Conduct network cabling/termination tasks.
  • Utilize Active Directory Services and Group Policy knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot Windows client operating systems, networking, and hardware.
  • Address end-user, network, SharePoint, and other IT-related concerns.
  • Assist in onboarding and configuring new IT equipment.
  • Support external end-users with software, hardware, and networking issues.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot GPS units.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel.
  • Deliver professional and friendly support via various communication channels.
  • Willingly learn new skills as required.
Requirements

Essential qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Prior software support experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of network topologies and computer operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to provide professional support in various formats.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
Working conditions:
  • Light travel will be required.
  • Some duties may need to be performed at other company and client locations.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
  • Flexible scheduling, including on-call availability.
Physical requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to carry items up several flights of stairs unassisted.
  • Comfortable working in office environments.
  • Ability to navigate industrial settings such as plants and refineries as needed.
