Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

  • Our team is seeking a Surgical Assist Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery department.
  • Clinic location of the team right now is 1145 Broadway Seattle, WA 98122
    • 2025 department move planned to our Madison Center at 904 7th Ave. Seattle, WA 98104
  • Full-time; 5 day schedule; No weekends
    • Time will be roughly split between 0.7-8 FTE clinic visits / 0.2-3 FTE working as a Surgical Assist; hospital rounding; admitting and discharging hospital patients.
  • Hospital partnership with Virginia Mason
  • General Surgery shares call responsibility with Virginia Mason. The Physician Assistant will also be asked to help with call coverage, in rotation with the team.
  • 1:1 MA to provider ratio; RNs on-site float between providers
  • Epic EMR/DAX

Required Qualifications
  • Physician Assistant Certification; or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Unrestricted licensure in Washington or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Current DEA or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Current BLS, ACLS certification
  • EMR Proficient
Preferred Qualifications
  • EPIC experience


Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $114,784 to $160,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
