An investment services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as their new Senior Analyst of Financial Reporting & Consolidations. In this role, the Senior Analyst of Financial Reporting & Consolidations will be responsible for focusing their attention primarily on the timely preparation of periodic financial reports to Senior Management and the Board of Directors at both a consolidated and individual operating business level, the maintenance and tracking of KPIs, providing insights and value-added analyses, and identifying process improvements and efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Analyst of Financial Reporting & Consolidations will be responsible for:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of the new consolidation and reporting system
  • Prepare the company's monthly financial reporting package, including P&L's, balance sheets, cash flows and other financial metrics at the consolidated and individual operating business level
  • Provide insights into financial performance and explanations of variances to budget and prior year at the consolidated and individual operating business level
  • Coordinate the consolidated monthly financial close in ERP/financial systems
  • Maintain and update system-generated management reports in order to capture business and reporting changes
  • Actively participate in the GL and Consolidation tool data governance process including preparing supporting documentation for changes related to financial master data elements
  • Maintain and update master data in ERP/financial systems
  • Work closely with internal IT team, external service provider and users on monthly system maintenance, system testing/upgrades and resolution of system-related issues
  • Integrate financial results of newly acquired businesses into company's financial systems
  • Work with the Technical Accounting to ensure that new accounting pronouncements are appropriately applied by the various entities within the company
  • Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of relevant Accounting and/or Finance experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Hands-on experience gained in Financial Reporting & Consolidation roles at a multinational company
  • Prior exposure to Foreign Currencies and/or prior Financial Systems implementation experience (e.g., ERPs, Oracle EPM, Hyperion)
  • Strong proficiency with Accounting and Reporting applications and ERP/consolidation systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
