Job Description

Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development/Capture Management Lead to join our Business Development team. This role requires an in-depth understanding of systems engineering, cybersecurity, enterprise IT, business intelligence, and professional services, with the ability to apply intermediate concepts effectively.

Duties
  • Develop and drive effective win strategies and capture plans to secure new business and retain existing clients.
  • Shape opportunities prior to RFP release through strategic customer engagement and develop pricing strategies, including price-to-win.
  • Plan, organize, and manage captures within the Federal, and DoD Intelligence community across multiple technology and engineering disciplines.
  • Identify qualified teaming partners, prepare detailed competitor analyses, and understand company strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Leverage and grow industry and customer networks, attend relevant industry events, and market company capabilities and services.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers and industry partners to drive business growth.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as liberal arts, communications, or business and experience leading Federal business development and capture management
  • 6+ years of experience writing proposals for federal agencies, with sufficient technical and financial knowledge to influence solution development.
  • Understanding of FAR and DFAR regulations, federal procurement processes, and demonstrated ability to interact with executive-level management.
  • Ability to mentor and develop less experienced talent, with proven experience growing a government contracting business.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and develop less experienced talent.

  • Strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Previous Profit and Loss (P&L) experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (M365, SharePoint Online, Teams), with the ability to work in dynamic environments and lead teams both remotely and in-office as needed
Required Clearance
  • Must have US Citizenship - eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
