Revenue Accounting Manager

Vaco Boston has partnered with our client who is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager. In this role you will oversee the revenue recognition process, from contract review to revenue recognition. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of US GAAP revenue recognition principles.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the revenue is accurately and timely recognized
• Review supporting evidence (such as proof of delivery and signed contracts) and provide accounting expertise in revenue recognition processes, including product catalogue, customer, subscription set-ups in billing and accounting systems.
• Prepare and update accounting schedules to calculate ASC 606 revenue
• Perform analytical reviews on the monthly Revenue Analytics and Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Clearly communicate to our internal partners (e.g. FP&A and the business) on revenue trends and flux
Qualifications:
• Minimum of bachelor's degree in accounting, and/or CPA.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of ASC 606
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
