Department OverviewThe Cloud Platform Engineering team (CPE) is Motorola Solutions' organization of cloud subject matter experts specializing in the deployment, management, operations, compliance and security of our cloud-based and hybrid solutions. The organization delivers solutions at scale, with efficiencies delivered through common services, industry expertise, and centralized cost management and monitoring. CPE facilitates partnerships with hardware and software vendors, and other technology partners, and streamlines our interactions with their infrastructure and services. We also accelerate cloud development and optimize operations, management & cost through scale, specialization with cloud-native services, and agile processes.Job DescriptionMotorola solutions is "solving for safer" by building the next generation safety and security ecosystem. The Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) team at Motorola Solutions is seeking a Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a centralized administration experience for our customers. This role will focus on creating a unified and efficient way for customers to manage their Motorola Solutions products and services across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user experience and a proven track record of developing and executing successful product strategies. The role is highly visible and highly technical - with the ideal candidate having a background in delivering B2B SaaS products, familiarity with on-prem enterprise product architecture, as well as an acute business and customer focus.
The candidate responsibilities will include:
Develop and execute the product strategy for the centralized admin console and associated experiences
Lead the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and ongoing product enhancements, including defining product roadmap, feature prioritization, and release planning.
Conduct market research and gather customer insights to identify market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers from partner teams, engineering, design, marketing, and sales to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product launches.
Define clear product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous product improvement.
Act as a product evangelist, effectively communicating the value proposition and benefits of the product to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Develop and demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise in all relevant functional areas to help maintain a system-level view during the solution construction process.
Track and regularly report on the progress towards important milestones and deliverables
Ensure backlog and goals for the product are maintained and current.
Be the face of the team with executives around the company to showcase the value prop and progress against goals.
Requirements:
At least 3 years experience in product management and 8 years Industry experience in an engineering or product management related discipline.
At least 3 years experience delivering B2B SaaS products and solutions with a focus on onboarding, configuration and administration
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Demonstrated success in delivering complex software products from concept to launch, preferably in an Agile development environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Polished presentation skills for internal and external audiences
Team player, consensus builder, natural collaborator
Strong organization and planning skills
Proactive, enthusiastic attitude toward challenging problems
Strong decision making and prioritization skills
Experience shipping SaaS applications on Azure, AWS or GCP is a plus
Eligible for relevant security clearances where required by customer interaction
Note: Candidate must reside in the Chicagoland Area, Salt Lake City Area or Greater Dallas Area.

Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of professional experience
