Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Product Owner for a contract to hire position with a bank in Milwaukee, WI. This is a fully remote role with once a quarter travel to Wisconsin.

Compensation is $80-100 per hour W2

Location : Remote. These states are allowed:

Project Overview:

The Technical Product Owner is an integral part of the product development team working in a fast-paced environment. They will act as the "Voice of" architecture, design and technical flow. They will be responsible for defining and gathering nonfunctional requirements for enhancements to defined digital products. They will provide leadership and direction to the engineering team as they implement these requirements. They will guide their backlogs and teams towards the agreed upon percentages of investment for functional vs. technical changes along with the Digital Product Owner. They will work with cross-functional teams to support product releases and customer implementations. They will be required to research, document, and provide solutions to support product road maps as well as identify proactive solutions. This role partners with the ITRM team in a feedback framework focused on individual and team performance.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders in recommending technology solutions to support business needs
  • Provide subject matter expertise within the business to bridge the gap between product and technical aspects of product development
  • Take ownership and be responsible for working with developers/engineers and architects to provide consultative guidance and direction to the team
  • Participates in a feedback framework with the ITRM's to set individual performance goals and overall product team outcomes.
  • Primary liaison between stakeholders and teams to ensure full understanding of product scope, objectives, requirements, and dependencies
  • Advise the product owner on key technical decisions.
  • Advise the product owner to define, manage, and accept technical stories.
  • Create and develop stories related to technical debt.
  • Be involved in sprint planning and to clear up all technical confusions.
  • Own technical product features, by defining scope, writing epics and user stories to execute on strategic goals.
  • Making sprint planning more efficient by identifying what goes in and what doesn't for functional vs. technical changes.
  • Partner with the product owner to execute the product road map to meet strategic goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, Business Administration, Finance, or Information Technology
Required Experience:
  • 3-5 years Technology Leadership
  • 7-10 years Information Technology with software/application development and product ownership.

Preferred Experience:

  • Power BI or other Analytics Platform, Agile, Jira, SQL
