Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
Support the Student Employment function in the Office of Human Resources by creating a welcoming environment for students; performing a broad range of tasks in the Oracle Recruiting module, including reviewing and editing job requisitions, and adding assignments; assisting with I-9 Employment Eligibility Verifications; and completing general administrative tasks.
Transferable Skills:
- Basic office and administrative skills, including customer service
- Skill in communicating with a broad range of constituents
- Skill in data management in a recruiting platform
- Skill in drafting and editing job descriptions and job postings
- In-depth experience with the Oracle Recruiting Module
- Greet and assist students in person and by telephone
- Assist student employment supervisors in drafting job requisitions
- Communicate with student employment supervisors if information is missing
- Review and edit job requisitions (job postings) in Oracle
- Proofread and confirm the accuracy of positions and coding in Oracle
- Upload and edit job descriptions into a Google document and Archive
- Supervise drop-in hours for I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
- Assist with completing I-9 Employment Eligibility Verifications
- Provide support in TDX (Oracle HelpDesk) on questions about student employment
- Assist with the Student Employment Job Fair
- Assist with the First Year Student Employment Placement Program
- Add student employment assignments to Oracle
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to interact professionally in person and over the phone
- Ability to follow and maintain standard office protocols
- Ability to attend to detail in all aspects of work
- Ability to input data accurately
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Skill in writing clear, professional correspondence
- Skill in or ability to learn Oracle as well as WordPress, Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google Suite
Prerequisites:
Students must have a work award on file to be eligible to participate in the student employment program.
