Overview: We are seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. The Account Manager will assist the team with servicing personal lines policies (i.e. homeowners, auto, recreational vehicles, watercraft, flood, personal umbrella, etc.), quoting new business prospects, as well as retaining and servicing existing clients by providing an exceptionally high standard of service. A successful Account Manager should be well versed in policy coverage and carrier guidelines as they are often the middle-person between the client and the carrier. The Account Manager is meant to keep the customers informed and always satisfied.
This is a full-time, remote position. Must have access to reliable, high-speed internet and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records within agency management system and electronic files.
- Provide excellent customer service to build and maintain positive relationships with Safegard's clients.
- Practice outstanding verbal and written communication with clients and insurance carrier representatives that is professional, confident, clear and concise.
- Prepare and maintain client-facing presentation documents.
- Review all renewal and new business policies for accuracy and request corrections as needed.
- Billing and non-payment follow-up.
- Process policy change requests. Responsible for timely endorsement follow-up, as well as billing.
- Issue new and renewal Automobile ID Cards as needed.
- Efficiently utilize insurance carrier online systems.
- Market new and renewal business as necessary including market selection, online rating, and coverage analysis.
- Field calls regarding claims; direct clients to appropriate carrier for submitting claims and assist clients with questions regarding claims as necessary.
- Associate's degree
- 2+ years of industry experience preferred
- Property and Casualty License (can be obtained upon hire)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
- Knowledge of AMS360 or EPIC Agency Management System preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent organization and analytical skills
- Strategic thinker and independent worker
- Comparative and technical knowledge
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Relationship builder
