Role description:

The IT Project Manager (portfolio and change) is responsible for planning, executing, and closing application projects. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Develop a detailed project plan, including timelines, resources, and budgets
  • Create and maintain project documentation, such as project charters and schedules
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to the project plan
  • Build and guide cross-functional project teams
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members
  • Provide guidance and assistance to team members throughout the project lifecycle
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders regularly
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports to project stakeholder
  • Allocate and optimize resources to meet project goals
  • Report on financial performance and resource utilization
Minimum skills / qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience in project management overseeing application development projects
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
Preferred skills / qualifications:
  • Project management certification (i.e. PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Experience guiding application projects in manufacturing environments
