Automatic Door Installer & Technician

Our Walters & Wolf Interiors is actively hiring an Automatic Door Installer & Technician in Fremont, California.

Successful candidates will possess the following responsibilities:
  • Repair, install, and adjust automatic swinging and sliding commercial doors.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of commercial door hardware and access control systems.
  • Detail-oriented to accurately complete necessary paperwork, including work orders, quality assurance check sheets, and walking the customer through the services rendered on each job.
  • Present neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
  • Basic power tools will be provided.
Requirements
  • Must be an excellent problem solver and critical thinker.
  • Must be an active member of the Carpenters Union or be willing to join.
  • Must have at least 2 years' experience in the commercial door industry.
  • Must have working experience with automatic doors, storefront doors, and electrified hardware.
  • AAADM certification is a plus
  • Must be knowledgeable in electrical wiring and understand the theory of integrating into card access systems.
  • Must be able to read blueprints or schematics.
  • Must be able to use power and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach above head with hands and arms, lift, push, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, pull, talk and hear.
  • The employee must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
