The IT Business Systems Intern will work on IT projects related to building a software inventory and licensing management application. The intern will use development, low-code solutions, relational database design, database development, and software testing skills to develop, validate, and document applications and systems. The intern will also assist in creating related training materials and user documentation. The intern will work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. The intern will be expected to work 15 hours per week from September 2024 to mid-December 2024. The intern must be a student with excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Experience with SQL, MS Power Platform, and .NET development is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop application inventory/ licensing database for SaaS and desktop software using SQL and low-code solutions like Power Apps and Power BI

• Validate and clean up application inventory data, building scripts to facilitate the process when appropriate

• Create technical and end-user documentation

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ACTIVITIES

• Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS.

• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, including using collaborative productivity and work management tools

• Relational database development experience

• High-level programming language experience (e.g., C#, Java, Python, JavaScript)

• No- or Low-code development experience

• Strong documentation skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Software testing skills

• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

• Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

• Ability to conduct research into application issues and products.

• Highly self-motivated and directed.

• Keen attention to detail.

Preferred:

o Experience with MS Power Platform (i.e., Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)

o .NET development experience
