About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Engineer to join our team at Datadog. As a Business Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving efficiency and velocity across the organization through process optimizations, automations, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn how business systems currently function and how they are used within Datadog.
  • Use this knowledge to identify technical gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Architect, build, and maintain system integrations and process automations.
  • Plan, prioritize, and deliver system enhancements; execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Security, Privacy & Compliance teams to ensure business systems adhere to Datadog security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Ability to analyze business requirements, design and configure recommended solution, and communicate technical solutions to various audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Prior experience making buy vs build decisions.
  • 2+ years as a business system administrator (e.g., NetSuite, Zendesk, Salesforce or Workday) or in a similar role.
  • 2+ years leading small to medium-sized cross-functional projects from requirements gathering to go-live across Finance, HR, and Sales.
  • Prior experience integrating systems using middleware (e.g., Workato, Boomi, Mulesoft, Zapier).
  • You are comfortable with code (e.g., Python, SQL) and are excited to learn and develop across enterprise-grade systems (e.g., Greenhouse, NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday).
