We have an immediate opening for a Customer Support Specialist at our Quincy, IL location. This is a Monday through Friday in office role, 7 AM to 4 PM.
This position will coordinate efforts with sales, production, trucking, warehouse, inventory management, formulations and quality assurance to meet customer needs and expectations. Detailed responsibilities for this position include:
- Customer service, to include: order taking, order entry and processing; handling initial customer complaints; handle product returns, credit and debit memos; provide product and pricing information as requested, ability to detail products as required; order follow-up; delivery schedules; product shortages; pricing changes; monitor accounts receivable; generate reports for customer history and product sales information; communicate market trends and supply issues; supply MSDS forms, spec sheets, product tags and labels as necessary; investigate and resolve all shipping, pricing and order entry errors.
- Key contact for sales team to execute, facilitate, research, and organize sales needs and requests.
- Facilitating the Formulations department on communicating changes to existing formulas and setting up new formulas for new/existing customers as requested by sales and customer base.
- Work closely with production facilities to coordinate production, logistics, availability, and communicate as necessary to customer, sales, etc.
- Monitor customer orders to help predict market trends and communicate information to purchasing, pricing and sales.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. One or more years of experience in Customer Service and/or Sales Support.
- Superior verbal and written communications, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritized work load.
- Strong computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office applications.
- Extensive keyboard and telephone use, sitting for extended periods of time.
