Austin, United States DISCO Full time
Your Impact

DISCO lets lawyers spend their time doing what matters most: securing justice for their clients and winning the most important disputes in the world. Bringing artificial intelligence, cloud, and data analytics to the practice of law, DISCO levels the playing field so a case will be decided on its merits, not the strength of either party.

Our brand and communications team is at the forefront of shaping and sharing our company narrative, engaging with media, stakeholders, and employees. We are passionate about telling our story and connecting with our audience in meaningful ways.

How can you add value as the Senior Director of Corporate Communications? From defining the strategies, messaging, and processes that enable our team to tell DISCO's story, to creating organizational infrastructure to support internal and external communications initiatives, you will elevate the ways that DISCO connects with its audiences. You will drive cohesive narratives across all platforms, ensuring clarity and consistency in our communications, and playing a critical role in managing our reputation.

As the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, you'll be responsible for leading a small team, shaping our PR strategies, and managing strategic and crisis communication plans to support our brand, products, and services across market segments and international regions.
What You'll Do
  • Ensure Cohesive Narrative: Ensure a consistent narrative across all external and internal communications. Work closely with marketing, product, and the Senior Leadership Team to align messaging with the company's vision and objectives. Oversee the development and maintenance of the company's brand voice and tone guidelines. Manage content strategy and editorial calendar to support unified storytelling.
  • Drive PR strategy and execution: Understand the competitive environment and design PR strategies that enhance the company's image and differentiate DISCO in the market. Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders. Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company and evaluate, prioritize, and manage media inquiries and interviews. Oversee the creation of press releases, briefing documents, media kits, and other PR materials.
  • Lead Executive and Internal Communications: Develop and implement strategies to align and engage DISCO team members. Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to communicate company goals, updates, and key initiatives to employees. Manage internal communication channels, including newsletters and employee meetings.
  • Manage Crisis Communications and Reputation Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive crisis communication plan to manage potential threats to the company's reputation. Lead the communication response during crises, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information. Provide crisis communication training and support to executives and relevant staff. Monitor and analyze public sentiment and media coverage during and after crises.
  • Manage a matrixed team: Direct internal team members and external agency partners to deliver results aligned to business objectives. Coach and develop employees to create and execute effective communications plans. Review and evaluate agency contracts, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and community leaders. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to align on company initiatives and objectives. Ensure transparency and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Measure and Analyze: Implement tools and methodologies to measure the effectiveness of communications. Analyze communication metrics to refine and improve strategies and tactics. Report on communication outcomes and provide insights to senior leadership.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of B2B Tech experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in internal communications, PR, and crisis management.
