Summary

Lidl US is searching for a Marketing Specialist- Branding & Packaging to join our team This position contributes to the efficient workflow of developing packaging artwork, from creative development, information gathering and artwork review, through delivery of final artwork and pre-press. It also does cost evaluations, requesting, gathering, collating, and processing packaging information from suppliers. In addition, the individual develops new packaging with assistance and guidance from their manager.

*This position reports to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day schedule.

What You'll Do

• Oversees and manages assigned project and/or departments data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements
• Conduct data entry and data management for various department projects
• Assist with the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans
• Communicate packaging requirements to suppliers
• Coordinate communication with buyers to ensure accuracy of received information
• Ensure completion of packaging specifications which includes primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging
• Assess received packaging specifications to identify correct recycling information
• Maintain project trackers with work completed/not completed
• Inform line manager on directions and statuses of all development projects
• Create CAD drawings, 3D objects, preliminary dielines and masks for creative artwork support
• Work with suppliers on packaging development
• Gather, organize, and distribute all the pieces of information required to create production artwork
• Review own label artwork during production process to ensure compliance with dieline, printing,
• and recycling requirements
• Review and comment on artwork in WAVE production tool, proof against brand guidelines, initiatives, and packaging content
• Consolidate feedback from a variety of stakeholders into clear direction for external partners with the support and direction of the Brand & Packaging Manager
• Apply critical thinking skills to proactively raise questions and propose solutions, to produce high-quality deliverables
• Complete accurate data entry and tracking for all assigned projects and products, and create BAP related reports
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Basic knowledge of packaging materials including paperboard, corrugated, rigid and flexible polymers, glass, and metal
• Basic understanding of printing processes including flexographic, lithography, rotogravure, and digital printing
• Proficiency with CAD and 3D software (ArtiosCAD, CAPE, Adobe Illustrator, Studio Visualizer, Store Visualizer, Solid works, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to work independently

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration
• 1-3 years of experience in a related field
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
