Overview

IT Support Specialist

Delaware Nation Industries is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level SOC Analyst to join our team. In the SOC role, the SOC Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents within our organization. While fulfilling the Help Desk support function, you will provide technical assistance and support to our clients by resolving technical issues and answering questions via phone, email, or in person. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for technology who enjoys problem-solving and helping others. An Active Secret clearance is REQUIRED.
A Security+ Certification is REQUIRED.
This position is 100% onsite.

This is a full time/permanent position with excellent benefits, and outstanding compensation including full medical, dental, 401K vacation and holiday pay.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security event alerts generated by various security tools.
  • Investigate and analyze security incidents to determine root cause and impact.
  • Document and escalate incidents according to established procedures.
  • Provide initial incident response and work with senior analysts to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain and improve SOC processes and documentation.
  • Participate in threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security issues.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely resolution of security incidents.
  • Stay up-to-date with current security threats and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is
  • Security+ certification is
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with help desk software and remote support tools
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing technical environments.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications in cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • Experience with security incident response and handling.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Basic scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • 1 year experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their security controls.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role, preferably in a cloud computing environment.
