Role Description

The Capabilities Learning Specialist sits within Aderant's People Team, reporting to the Learning & Organizational Development Director. The Learning & Org Development Team designs and implements strategies, programs, and processes to enhance performance and culture. This Capabilities Learning Specialist role requires a passion for non-stop learning and creating best-in-class strategic learning pathways that drive the business forward. You will learn a ton, partner, and collaborate with many teams. Most importantly, you will see your insights have an immediate, tangible daily impact in a rapidly transforming company.

We seek a highly motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented Capabilities Learning Specialist to develop and manage strategic initiatives and programs that drive the business forward. This person will consult with subject matter experts and stakeholders to strengthen employee knowledge and capabilities through skill-based development. This includes, yet is not limited to, designing skill-based learning pathways and program management. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in consulting, designing, program managing, and evaluating skill-based learning experiences to strengthen employee capabilities, which is crucial to our employees and organizational success.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of related work experience (Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Talent Management, Learning Program Management).
  • Knowledge and experience applying adult learning methodologies.
  • Experience with curriculum design (supporting departments such as Sales, Professional Services, Product, Engineering, and General & Administrative).
  • Experience working in a team environment; strong planning/organizing & time management skills; and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a professional environment.
  • Ability to handle and complete various development tasks and multiple projects with accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating learning initiatives that target skill-based development.
  • Experience working with learning vendors (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight) is a plus.
  • Experience using and managing learning tools, Microsoft SharePoint, and Canva is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Administer skill-based learning programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage skill assessment data to identify knowledge and capability gaps.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand skill gaps and apply a skill-based learning approach.
  • Develop program proposals, project outlines, and deployment approaches for learning initiatives.
  • Design, develop, implement, and measure skill-based learning programs - from ideation to execution.
  • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to develop and design a skill-based learning program.
  • Collaborate with the learning community (Learning Champions) to optimize delivery, logistics, and standard operating procedures.
  • Present learning outcome results in a manner that communicates the themes and challenges with clarity.
