Job Summary: The Infrastructure Engineer ensures secure, compliant, and scalable cloud infrastructure operations. This role reports to the Director of Infrastructure.
Essential Functions:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Support and operate AWS shared services components.
- Provision and manage cloud solutions including compute, storage, and networking.
- Automate AWS solutions using Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Manage AWS AMIs with Packer and Ansible.
- Monitor cloud performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Research and evaluate new AWS services.
- Ensure system security on Linux and Windows-based systems.
- Integrate cloud infrastructure with existing systems.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Foster collaboration and effective communication.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of AWS cloud experience.
- Expertise in incident identification and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with AWS services (VPC, S3, EC2, RDS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance (HI TRUST / SOC II).
- AWS certifications preferred.
- Experience documenting technical requirements.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
