Timeline: Immediate Start
Are you a detail-oriented team player with a knack for interpreting engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools? We're looking for a General Mechanical Inspector to join our receiving inspection department immediately
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret engineering drawings with precision.
- Utilize common measuring devices such as calipers, radius gages, micrometers, optical comparators, Deltronic pins, and vision systems.
- Create and document non-conformances.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sit for extended periods while performing inspection tasks.
- Communicate effectively and work well within a team.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong ability to focus, prioritize, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Ability to review assembly/test documentation for traceability and adherence to internal procedures.
- Experience inspecting to IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum and/or NASA 8739.4 standards.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Qualifications:
- Fully proficient in job knowledge and skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in aerospace.
