Here are a few things you'll likely find yourself doing in this role...

  • Prepare all types of tax returns, including individuals, partnerships, S corporations and trusts as well as information and other compliance returns.
  • Assist clients with accounting services including QuickBooks reconciliation and cleanup, as well as adjusting journal entries necessary to prepare tax returns.
  • Review simple tax returns prepared by staff for accuracy and look for tax-saving opportunities.
  • Research tax issues.
  • Communicate with the IRS and other tax authorities as a client advocate.
  • Proactively interact with clients to gather information, make recommendations and resolve various tax-related matters.
Here's what you need to have...
  • CPA required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in public tax accounting at Big4 or National Accounting firm.
  • Excellent comprehension of general accounting principles and familiarity with small business financials.
  • Experience researching tax issues.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with clients with a focus on client service.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage time and prioritize multiple projects effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to corporate office on occasion.
