Senior Tax Associate

SEARCH Group Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our team. As a key member of our public accounting firm, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, assisting clients with accounting services, and communicating with tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and trusts, as well as information and compliance returns.
  • Assist clients with accounting services, including QuickBooks reconciliation and cleanup, and adjusting journal entries for tax returns.
  • Review tax returns prepared by staff for accuracy and identify tax-saving opportunities.
  • Research tax issues and communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
  • Proactively interact with clients to gather information, make recommendations, and resolve tax-related matters.
Requirements:
  • CPA required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in public tax accounting at a Big4 or National Accounting firm.
  • Excellent comprehension of general accounting principles and familiarity with small business financials.
  • Experience researching tax issues.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with clients and provide excellent client service.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage time and prioritize multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines.
