Job Summary: As an IT Help Desk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance. You will diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, provide user support, and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Incident Management: Log and track technical issues using the company s ticketing system. Escalate complex problems to higher-level IT staff when necessary.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system backups, and virus scans to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues and solutions. Document troubleshooting steps and update knowledge base articles.
- User Training: Provide basic training and support to users on software applications, systems, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to identify and implement improvements in IT processes and systems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows and/or macOS operating systems, common office applications, and basic networking concepts. Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric attitude.
