  • Supervise and develop the logistics team, conducting performance evaluations and creating improvement plans
  • Direct and oversee the productivity of drivers and clerical associates while promoting a culture aligned with company values
  • Participate in the hiring and coaching of logistics personnel, monitor performance, and implement necessary disciplinary measures
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot delivery problems, ensuring accuracy, customer satisfaction, and adherence to DOT regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and minimize waste
  • Conduct routine safety and driver meetings, oversee maintenance of driver qualification files, and investigate and address all accidents
  • Effectively use planning tools to schedule working shifts and handle other duties as assigned

Supervision: Directly supervise union and/or non-union drivers

Work Environment: May spend significant time on the road and in an office setting

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution required, along with leadership, communication, and people development skills

Physical Qualifications: Must be able to stand, walk, drive vehicles, sit, lift, carry, push/pull, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, grasp objects, manipulate objects, and demonstrate manual dexterity as part of the job requirements

Education/Training: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred

Travel: 10% travel required for mandatory meetings and training
