We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Energy Market Specialist to join our team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES Responsible for coordinating analysis of LES performance in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) energymarket. Also ensures the departments compliance with NERC standards, SPP tariff and protocols, andcorporate risk policy. Specific responsibilities include analyzing energy market performance, assistancein development of energy market strategies, procedures and policies, and regulatory compliance.Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Analyzes energy market performance, identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Develops, updates, and distributes reports and other analyses to assist in strategy development. Establishes, implements, and updates departmental policies, programs, plans, and processes. Ensures reliability and regulatory compliance by tracking departmental performance and assistingwith audits. Accountability - Holds self and others responsible for goals, outcomes, deadlines, and objectives and follows through on commitments. Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Ability to apply mathematical, economic, and accounting practices. Ability to interpret and apply applicable Federal, State, and Regional Transmission Organization laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes. REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in business or related field, and Six years of related work experience, or An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform theessential duties of the job.
