Description

ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst (BI) who is passionate about data, analytics, science, and automation. As a Business Analyst, you will provide data management processes such as accessing raw data feeds, building queries, and writing code to organize data and designing reports that present proper visualization for business performance. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Retrieving and analyzing large sets of data using Excel, SQL, and other data management systems.
  • Designing and implementing reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
  • Taking ownership of reporting processes to ensure that each report is accurate and timely with a high degree of customer focus in resolving data discrepancies.
  • Building and managing related key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure, control, and benchmark reporting processes.
  • Monitoring existent metrics, building new metrics, and partnering with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the existent program implementation.
  • Generating complex queries to dive deep on process issues
  • Innovating to improve customer experience
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience writing code: open to codes languages- Java, Python
  • 5 years of experience with Excel including use of lookups and pivot tables
  • 4-6 years of SQL experience - writing queries and creating business intelligence reports
  • Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of LEAN and SIX SIGMA methodologies and familiarity with business intelligence tools.
