and assistance. You will be the first point of contact for anyone entering the facility, so your friendly and
professional demeanor will create a positive impression.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a warm and friendly manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
- Verify patient information and insurance details accurately and update the electronic medical records system.
- Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and forms.
- Coordinate patient flow by communicating with medical staff and ensuring timely check-ins and checkouts.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and faxes promptly and efficiently.
- Manage appointment reminders and follow-up calls to patients.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
is a plus. - Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and handle difficult interactions with empathy and professionalism.
