Job Description

The Head of Business Development/Investor Relations will report directly to the CIO/Founder. This role will be responsible for leading business development activities across all institutional channels and designing and executing a compelling roadmap for VWH's capital growth. The role will be responsible for creating strategy, framework, and tactics to strengthen existing investors relationships as well as develop new investors. The role requires a deep investor network, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to carefully manage relationships in the investor community.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain existing investor relationships and prospect investor dialogues, deliver periodic performance and market commentary, and organize investor calls and conferences
  • Develop robust investor relation strategy and framework through individualized target outreach by casting broad net and then funneling accordingly to maximize efficiency
  • Leverage deep network of capital introductions and marketing professionals to understand clients' mandates, diligence process to generate leads, and facilitate warm introductions
  • Implement and maintain CRM system to track investor data, manage VWH marketing materials, including pitchbooks, tear sheets, white papers, DDQ, website, social media and LP communications
  • Expand the VWH brand and profile by securing speaking engagements and participation in select industry events including prime brokerage events and conferences
  • Develop an intimate understand of VWH's investment strategy, philosophy, and process to conduct early rounds of investor meetings to capture mind share, keep momentum and follow up
  • Work with CIO, CCO and outside legal counsels to ensure compliance on regulatory matters
Qualifications
  • Must be a seasoned professional who has extensive experience in generating business results and leading teams with effective management skills. The job requires a corporate professional who also has entrepreneurial skills and looks to the future with optimism to envision what could be possible. Success in this role requires collaboration, communication, leadership, and vision.
  • 10+ years' experience dealing with investors and a strong track record of creating positive relations within the investor community
  • Strong understanding of SEC laws and securities disclosure requirements
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of private equity fundraising market, capital markets trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and private equity investor trends
  • Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Have superb written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages for inspiring investors
  • A Bachelor/Master's degree with an emphasis in business, finance, or relevant fields
  • Fulltime remote work will be considered; position requires frequent travel both domestically and internationally
