The Opportunity:

Our client is a global leader in the manufacture of innovative instrumentation solutions for Process Measurement, Automation, Control and HVAC applications. With strong brand recognition and a high degree of customer loyalty, our client has a strong reputation for providing customer centric solutions and excellent products. These include solutions for the measurement of temperature, humidity, pressure, strain, force, flow, level, pH, conductivity, indoor air quality and other parameters that control and drive process efficiency.

In allowing our client to expand their product offerings, we are supporting them in the hiring of a Regional Sales Managers in the North East USA covering ME, NY, NJ, VT and RI. Candidate will be located in this area.

This person will report to the channel sales director and is responsible for calling on major OEM customers and key resale partners. On offer is a strong compensation package with a well funded internationally known brand name.

What you'll be doing:

  • Making direct calls to large key accounts.
  • Making direct calls with Distribution partners and their sales team.
  • Reporting on acceptance of our clients products in the field; recommending modifications to old products and development of new products based on field observation.
  • Communicating on status of competitors (technical and price performance)
  • Demonstrating consistent urgency to accomplish organizational objectives both internally and externally.
  • Advising management on general business conditions in assigned region with specific comments on increases or decreases to the number of key accounts, market trends, etc.
  • Establishing and monitoring objectives for region and territory to achieve product qualifier goals.
  • Providing and reviewing annual revenue forecast and expense budget for region.
  • Maintaining key performance indicators with regards to sales activities.
  • Perform product presentations targeted to groups consistent with Company market strategies.
  • Collaborating with sales management to assign performance goals for sales representatives and distributor and making joint sales calls periodically to assess performance and progress.
  • Developing solutions for issues that may cause problem or constraints among internal and external customers.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
What you'll need to be successful:
  • 5-7 years of outside field sales experience
  • Solid Business acumen
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of our clients products, markets and their applications along with the ability to convey this information to others.
