Medical Logistics Manager

Job Description
This position is in support of the County of Sarasota Florida to provide care for those with special needs who are displaced in the event of a large scale disaster. This position requires the individual to be able to respond to a disaster with in 24 hours of notification to establish care with in 72 hours of notification. This is a post disaster mission and will require the individual to be onsite until conclusion of the operation. The primary function of the Medical Logistics Manager is to provide support for the program through materials and logistics movement coordination training, material status tracking, and overall supply support.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Degree issuing institution and or program must be accredited by an entity recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field such as business management or logistics management preferred.
- Basic Life Support
- Current and valid drivers license
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in supply chain/logistics/warehousing
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Cultural competency.
- Integrity and honesty.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of, and moderate proficiency in, common Microsoft Office programs, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records and information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Demonstrate strong organization and time management skills.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- Cultural competency and interpersonal skills.
Duty Hours / ON-Call Requirements
- This an upon notification position
- Shifts will be 12 hours a day until complete
- Will have on call responsibilities
Physical Demands
- Physically capable of performing duties and responsibilities as listed above.
- Ability to work in an austere environment exposure to heat and weather
- Frequent use of common office technology such as the computer, telephone etc.
- Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive a vehicle on behalf of the company
Travel / Rotation Requirements
- Travel to Sarasota upon notification

Compensation | Min: $X Max: $X
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
