The CAD Designer is responsible for transforming concepts into working documentation. This role will be focused on maintaining technical drawings and models for production products. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES :

·Create and revise part and assembly drawings

·Check dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of parts to each other, and relation of various parts to the whole system

·Produce drawings, layouts, and/or diagrams from sketches, existing drawings, electronic images, design concepts and/or verbal instructions

·Draft detailed multi-view 2-dimensional drawings and create 3-D models

·Draw finished designs from sketches

·Maintain and organize the drawing system

·Ensure all necessary documentation is complete such as engineering prints and related product specifications to allow successful transfer to manufacturing

·Communicate with internal and external customers regarding new or revised prints

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE

·Associates degree in CAD Drafting, Engineering/Mechanical Design, or related field or 5+ years of relevant experience preferred

·Demonstrated experience producing detailed mechanical designs including GD T

·Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments with outstanding quality

·Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD

·Engineering change management process familiarity experience

·Strong problem-solving skills

·Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

·Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner

·Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork

·Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate channels

·Familiarity with fabrication, casting, and molding and other high precision manufacturing processes

·Experience with 3D printing, 3D scanning, and other additive manufacturing processes
