On-site IT Support (Entry/Experienced)

At Michelin, we are currently seeking individuals who exhibit a strong commitment to their work to join our team as On-site IT Support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in our Greenville location, providing world-class IT support and ensuring the smooth functioning of our network and systems.

Job Responsibilities

As an On-site IT Support member, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and monitoring the network at our Greenville location to ensure optimal performance for end users.
  • Engaging and prioritizing incident resolution when required, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient problem-solving.
  • Deploying new or replacement network equipment to meet the evolving business needs and address obsolescence.
  • Participating in a rotating 24 x 7 on-call schedule with the On-Site Support (OSS) team to provide round-the-clock support for our supported locations.
  • Assisting the OSS team with various tasks such as PC refreshes, new PC deployments, printer refresh/deployment, and setup and maintenance of unified meeting rooms.
  • Supporting end users and groups with Teams Live Events when needed, ensuring seamless virtual collaboration.
  • Maintaining accurate network documentation and diagrams for the sites, cabling, and obsolescence, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
  • Mentoring teammates on all on-site support activities, empowering them to grow and take on leadership roles.
  • Facilitating site updates and accurately documenting them in our ITSM system (SNOW) as needed, ensuring adherence to established processes for change management.
  • Assisting in managing the RIS activities for the sites, including security patching for non-IT PCs.
  • Supporting teammates with all on-site support activities, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensuring service level and user satisfaction meet expectations by providing timely availability of applications, equipment, and services.
  • Managing the performance and conformity of IT equipment, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Maintaining technical and operational documentation in our tools, such as ServiceNow, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is readily available.
  • Defining and applying the maintenance plan for equipment, adhering to correct processes and protocols.
  • Taking responsibility for keeping track of the IT inventory, including servers, PCs, network devices, and PLCs.
  • Contributing to server development and providing ongoing support.
Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • A two-year computer/IT related degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in IT support or a related field is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in network maintenance and problem-solving.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and work well within a team.
