Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a Project Manager - Civil Site Development in Greenville, SC. The position requires a strong understanding of civil site design with previous experience working with water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure design projects. Previous experience producing residential plans and working with land development clients in a consulting environment preferred. This role requires regular interaction with our clients. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required. Working knowledge of Civil 3D software preferred. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and P.E. required.

Typical Duties:
  1. Managing one or multiple projects for multiple clients.
  2. Proposal preparations and fee development.
  3. Visit clients, job sites and consultant offices as needed to support project and business development needs.
  4. Monitor scope, schedules and budget for projects and business unit.
  5. Managing engineering work and interface with other disciplines as needed.
  6. Create scope of work for projects.
  7. Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas.
  8. May supervise engineers and technicians.
  9. Tracks projects in accounting software with intermediate/advanced skill.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer required.

Skills:
  • 7+ year's experience in design of public and private projects.
  • Experience producing residential, commercial, industrial design plans and working with these clients.
  • Experience with civil engineering project management, including development/management of scopes, schedules and budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working experience with Autocad, preferably Civil 3D.
  • Business development skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Understanding of Business Financial Information.
