38749BR Extended Job Title: Event Specialist - TTU Position Description: Assists with the development and implementation of special events. Facilitates production of events by communicating with vendors, guests, internal staff and customers. Requisition ID: 38749BR Travel Required: None Major/Essential Functions: In collaboration with administration and Honors College staff, coordinate College-level events. Manage all aspects of planning and executing events within the Honors College. Including events for FYE, the House System, Advancement/Alumni, Advising, PESA, and the Deans. Work across campus and community partners facilitate successful events, including large scale events such as Medallion and Convocation. Managing the setup/cleanup of the event, including decor, entertainment, transportation, and invitee lists. Facilitate parking passes as needed for guest speakers, entertainment, etc. Other duties as assigned. Grant Funded?: No Minimum Hire Rate: 17.77 Pay Basis: Hourly Schedule Details: M-F, 10am-2pm (flexible) Work Location: Lubbock Preferred Qualifications: Two years work experience involving detailed work and event planning.
