· Utilize Rhapsody integration engine to design, develop, and deploy EDI solutions for healthcare organizations, including hospitals, clinics, and medical laboratories.

· Implement HL7 interfaces for exchanging healthcare data, including admission/discharge/transfer (ADT), orders and results (ORU, ORM), clinical documents (CCD, CDA), and medical imaging (DICOM).

· Collaborate with healthcare IT teams, clinical staff, and external vendors to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

· Develop and maintain HL7 message schemas, mappings, and transformations within the Rhapsody environment.

· Configure Rhapsody channels and connectors to establish secure and reliable communication channels for EDI transactions (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST).

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HL7 message parsing, validation, and routing within Rhapsody, ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.

· Collaborate with database administrators to integrate HL7 data into healthcare information systems (HIS), electronic health records (EHR), and other clinical applications.

· Stay abreast of evolving HL7 standards and industry trends, and assess their impact on EDI solutions and interoperability initiatives.

· Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders on Rhapsody configuration, HL7 implementation, and best practices in healthcare data exchange.

· Participate in testing, quality assurance, and documentation activities to ensure the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of EDI solutions.

*Qualifications:*

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

· Rhapsody Integration Engine Professional Certification.

· Proven experience (2+ years) working as an EDI Developer with a focus on healthcare IT and HL7 standards.

· In-depth knowledge of HL7 standards, including HL7 v2.x (e.g., v2.3, v2.5) and HL7 v3/CDA.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
