WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Coordinate and lead activities of workers engaged in production and warehousing to facilitate a timely and accurate order-fulfillment process, while ensuring all safety, quality/production specifications are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of an efficient and effective daily production plan/schedule. Communicate production schedules to production staff in a timely and effective manner.
  • Lead production staff to ensure that production work is accurate, timely and consistent with work instructions and procedures.
  • Ensure that company quality objectives are being met on a consistent basis. Train production workers on quality assurance procedures and policy as needed.
  • Provide machine operation and process training to employees. Evaluate production personnel to match abilities, skills and knowledge to the optimal plant assignment.
  • Maintain organization, discipline, and structure through the enforcement of Company policies and House Rules. Monitor and take corrective action on issues relating to work performance.
  • Ensure physical inventories/cycle counts are conducted as required to ensure accuracy of perpetual inventory. Interface with office staff on production/work order completions. Ensure proper quantities and counts.
  • Engage in daily production work and plant activities as needed. Possess ability to operate and maintain all plant production equipment.
  • Drive forklift to transport manufactured items from production areas to warehouses, as well as load/unload trucks.
  • Assemble and maintain machinery and/or molds used for production to ensure production is carried out as scheduled.
  • Supervise and/or assist preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and make sure order needed parts are ordered to repair said equipment.
  • Lead continuous improvement and change management efforts. Optimize efficiency, productivity, and equipment performance in order to meet objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and verify standard operating procedures (SOP). Provide SOP training.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. 3-5 years' supervisory manufacturing experience in related field is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary to fill out production sheets, create and interpret schedules, and determine plant procedures.
  • Understanding of manufacturing equipment and process required.
  • Experience with manufacturing/production computerized batching/PLC systems
  • Forklift training as required by OSHA.
