Bag Stacker

Ampac Holdings, LLC is seeking a skilled Bag Stacker to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment. As a key member of our packaging operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate stacking of bags on our production lines.

• Read and interpret production orders to ensure accurate bag stacking
• Change knives and paste heads as needed to maintain optimal production levels
• Time machine on set-ups to ensure smooth production start-ups
• Change paper, glue, and formers as required to maintain production quality
• Add or remove spots as needed to ensure accurate bag stacking
• Clean valve heads for poly to prevent production downtime
• Keep the tuber mouth clear and monitor for paper breaks during set-up
• Fold samples for operators to ensure quality control
• Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient production environment
• Assist operators and be present at the machine during production to ensure smooth operation
• Make sure knives for the next order are in the rack by the tuber to maintain production efficiency
• Work overtime as needed to meet production demands
• Participate in on-the-job training as required to maintain and improve production skills
• Communicate effectively with operators and supervisors to ensure smooth production operation
• Perform outside duties as instructed by supervisors or lead persons to support production needs
• Follow all plant and safety rules to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Assist in training new employees to ensure a smooth transition into production roles

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to bend, twist, and kneel
