Your Role: Poultry Technical Consultant 

The Poultry Technical Consultant will work with customers to position Elanco as the partner of choice by delivering exceptional technical expertise, market leading product solutions, scientifically sound research studies, and value beyond product including consulting, analytics, diagnostics, and market access support..  

Your Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with customers to identify and manage complex live production challenges

  • Provide objective technical support to our customers both inside and outside the Elanco portfolio

  • Serve as a knowledge resource to the US sales and technical teams

  • Identify and communicate unmet customer needs to marketing teams and help generate marketing materials and trial development

  • Help validate feasibility and commercial opportunity of New Product Pipeline

  • Present as a thought-leader at scientific and industry meetings and participate in professional organizations as an Elanco representative

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): 

  • Education DVM with advanced degree e.g. DCPAV, MAM, PHD

  • Required Experience: A minimum 5 years of Clinical practice 

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in commercial poultry health management at a live production level for a top 20 integrator

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

  • Extensive applied experience of problem solving in Breeder, Hatchery, Grow-out and Food Safety environments

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $133,900.00 to $200,000.00 depending partly on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
