Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Senior Manager, People Operations is a high visibility, high-impact role responsible for providing the full range of day-to-day and project HR support for the geographically distributed CDP employee base. This role will support all facets of HR: employee relations, performance management, data reporting & analysis, benefits & compensation, talent acquisition, and overall support of ongoing employee needs. The role will also partner with the Organizational Intelligence and Development Team as well as the CDP’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Groups to deliver strategic initiatives in support of CDP’s mission.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, People Operations lead our HR Operations function at CDP. You will play a critical role in partnering with the business to ensure our HR processes and programs are efficient, scalable, and compliant, supporting our ambitious growth goals.

Responsibilities:
  • CDP Support: Serve as the primary HR contact for the CDP team, providing guidance, service, and information on all lifecycle activities. This includes problem-solving, resolving inquiries, and channeling requests to appropriate resources with vendors, our brokers and managers.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage the entire recruitment process, including candidate screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and new hire onboarding activities. You will ensure a smooth, efficient and positive onboarding experience for all new employees.
  • HR Information Systems (HRIS) Management: Process all employee data and actions within the HRIS system, including new hires, promotions, exits, benefits changes, and organizational updates. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Support departmental reporting needs by gathering data, analyzing trends, and providing recommendations to leadership.
  • HR Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee and manage CDP's HR compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to all state and federal regulations. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures to mitigate HR risks.
  • Employee Engagement Champion: Provide leadership and support for employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. This involves collaborating with managers and employees to develop and implement new programs.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I): Contribute to the company's DE&I strategy by providing structural and operational support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and promoting a culture of inclusion.
  • Collaboration & Partnerships: Partner with the broader CDP team on various projects and initiatives, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Employee Relations & Coaching: Support employee relations cases, including performance management coaching, leave administration (FMLA, ADA), and flexible work arrangements.
  • Performance Life Cycle: From Feedback, to Reviews and Goal Settings, support the technical and operational elements of CDP’s talent through tools, process, education and support.
  • Compensation Strategy and Planning: In partnership with the CPO facilitate the compensation strategy, benchmarking, merit and bonus planning activities for CDP.
Experience/Skills
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience, including strong execution of HR activities using innovative and streamlined processes that leverage tools and prioritize the experience.
  • Excellent client focus and ability to provide timely follow-up and follow-through.
  • Ability to navigate the unknown, finding information, answers and solutions by navigating internal and external channels.
  • Strong business and leadership acumen, professional/collaborative approach,
  • High self-motivation and strong organizational skills as well as a Learning Mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment overseeing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and willingness to adapt to changing responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS software; ADP WorkforceNow plus. Willing to test and implement new tools such as AI.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, or commensurate experience, is required

Additional Requirements

CDP is a remote-first company with our hub located near Boston. While most work is done virtually, occasional travel may be required for in-person collaboration and strategic initiatives.
