Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to oversee the technical aspects of substation construction projects. This role will act as the main on-site expert, ensuring construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards. You'll collaborate closely with the construction team and serve as a direct link to the engineering team for resolving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to construction crews and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Address construction issues and collaborate with the engineering team to resolve them.
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and field markups.
  • Monitor risks and implement preventive measures to avoid delays and cost overruns.
  • Report progress and open issues to the Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in high-voltage substation construction.
  • Strong expertise in electrical systems, substation design, and grounding.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Travel up to 10%.
