Job Summary
The Plumbing Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the plumbing division, managing the sales team, and developing strategies to expand market presence. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing products and services, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching and performance evaluations.
- Set clear sales goals and monitor team performance against targets.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on plumbing products, services, and industry trends to effectively educate the sales team and customers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to upper management, outlining performance metrics and growth opportunities.
- Use data analysis to inform sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.
- Identify and implement cost-effective sales initiatives.
- Training and Development:
- Organize training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of sales experience in the plumbing or construction industry, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Strong understanding of plumbing products, services, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with our without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Hands to Fingers: Picking. Pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
- Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
- Close Vision: Clear vision at 20 inches or less. Required to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, or visual inspections.
- Primarily an office-based role with occasional travel to customer sites and trade shows.
- May require evening or weekend work during peak sales periods.
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of occasionally and/or minor amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
